Nicole McCarthy

Hi, I’m Nicole McCarthy, co-owner of Pro Shine Professional Cleaning. My journey to this business was anything but traditional. I started my career in marketing for a large corporate company, but when the pandemic hit, I lost my job and found myself reevaluating everything. Around that same time, I met Cory—who’s now my husband and business partner—just days after he launched Pro Shine. On our second date, he showed me a flyer he made for his new business, and with my marketing background, I knew I could help. By the third date, I had redesigned it for him, and before he asked me to be his girlfriend, he asked me to be his business partner.

Not long after, we packed up and moved to Bluffton, SC, with no family, no friends, and no safety net—just a big vision and a lot of faith. Looking back, it was the best risk I’ve ever taken. Today, Cory and I are celebrating four years of Pro Shine, one year of marriage, a growing team, and a company we’re proud to call part of the Lowcountry community.

At Pro Shine, my focus is on bringing transparency and education to an industry most people don’t know much about. Homeowners know they have an HVAC system, but they often don’t realize how it impacts their air quality and long-term comfort. That’s why we specialize in air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, duct repairs and re-wraps, and antimicrobial fogging. We’re committed to showing before-and-after photos of every job, offering upfront pricing, and standing behind our work with a two-year growth-free guarantee.

I’ve learned that every challenge along this journey has been a blessing in disguise—a chance to grow stronger and build a solid foundation for the future. The most important part has been surrounding myself with the right people, a team who cares about our clients and our mission as much as I do.

Outside of work, life is full and sweet with Cory, our first child, and our two fur babies. Pro Shine started as a leap of faith, and today it’s one of the biggest blessings in my life.
